Wow i havent posted in forever because mainly everyone i post for is on facebook now! So where do i begin!! Well we made the horriable mistake of going to the dallas zoo today for dollar day, why i do not know when we can easily afford the regular admission in any other day, and it was insanely hot and crowded,we lasted 2 hours lol....Tomorrow we are going to tackle the dart rail and go to the dallas world aqurium...Then going out with friends for jacobs bday and i think saturday we are going to chill at home, i might take the kids out to fireworks not sure, every other year zoe has freaked out but i think zane would love it so maybe just me and zane will go out tomorrow night...Next week i am tackling potty training zane...Wish me luck, i have no idea what i am doing with a boy! Girls are alot easier i think! I tell him to wipe, hubby tells him to shake lol , i tell him to sit down and call his underwear panties because i am so use to that with zoe, jacob calls them his underwear or boxers and tells him to stand up! So this will be fun! Well thats about it! We are so exciting!! lol

So one of the guys jake works with got married this past weekend and it was kinda weird how the ceremonies were, the wedding was at 1 in allen and then reception was at 6 in richardson so my mom took the kids for the weekend for us and we decided to make a weekend out of it and we got a nice hotel room at the renaissance hotel in richardson and we went to the wedding first and it was very beautiful, it was a catholic vietnamese ceremony, jake didn't ask him if it was going to be in english, we arrived and we were the only english people there lol everyone was vietnamese and the whole ceremony was in vietnamese and it was catholic so me and jake had no idea what was going on lol, we would just stand and neel and stand and neel when they did and it was long! But it was very beautiful and intimate just wish i knew what was going on lol. So then we went and checked into the hotel which was beautiful and then went to Fox and Hound to kill time and watched the florida game with all the gator heads there lol, it was like a big party! Then we went to the reception which was alot of fun there were a few people that were there from jakes work i knew and then we made friends with the ladies at our table, the food was really weird but it was good and we had a blast! It was nice to get away even if it was not far lol.

Well this year for thanksgiving we decided to stay at home and not go to jakes parents and have all my family over since usually every year every holiday we go over to jakes family since mine doesn't celebrate holidays so this year we just had what we call a family potluck and get together and ate turkey and everything, watched the football game, drank and played games! It was a total blast and enjoyed having all my crazy family over! My mom and dad and sisters came over, my grandma and aunt connie, aunt terry and uncle gary and cousins jeff and bailey, my sisters friend angela and of course me, jake and the kids. It was loud,nosiy and fun! Here are a few pics.

So this is just random stuff. We went a few weeks ago to the christmas parade at willowbend mall and saw the snowglobes and kids had fun but it was really crowded so we just walked around, we have been busy with school, playdates and all the fun family stuff. Zoe this month was diagnosed with a slight form of autism called PDD - Pervasive Development Disorder, we have a meeting with the school and drs and stuff wednesday to go over what there gonna change in her school program and what we need to do. She is getting alot better then when she was first being tested. The PDD has to do with social and oral skills. But she is working on them and has improved alot since being in school! Halloween

So i never posted about halloween, we have a fun busy day!! Zoe got to dress up the day before halloween at school, it was sopposed to be dress for sucess and kids dressed in what they wanna be when they grow up, well zoe wont tell you anything so she wanted to wear her minnie mouse dress and we said she was a actresss cus this girl can really act lol, she can act out scenes in a movie so good and have the correct emotions lol. So halloween day i hosted a halloween party for the kids and then we went downtown to mckinney for there scare on the square and then went out that night trick or treating with the kids and then handed out candy! Zoe loved it so much she keeps asking every day if its halloween and trick or treating again so we have to come up with a calender to count down to another year lol. Enjoy some of the pics!

Ok so i have been reading and hearing all the stuff about prop 8 in california and now how the mormans are being attacked and targeted since the bill didn't go through. Heres my opionion, I think whoever wants to be married should be married, husband and wife, two guys, two girls, whatever! I dont think its anyones right to tell us who we can and can't marry. Especially the government, next there going to be telling us how to raise our kids, discipline them, what time to go to bed lol. EVery person should be able to think for themselves, what is it doing to us that they can't get married? NOTHING! IF ya dont like it then dont have gay friends! If one of my kids turned out to be gay i wouldn't want someone telling them they couldn't get married or have kids or anything, they should be loved no matter what and supported. So anyways thats my thoughts on this! Have a good day!

Well a few weeks ago zoe had her first school field trip and i haven't blogged about it! We went to the celina pumpkin patch and i got to volunteer and go! We had a blast and it was fun to see zoe around her classmates and teachers! I found out she is the only girl with like 6 boys in her class lol, and she is sweet on a boy named howard lol. Daddy didnt like that lol. Here are a few pics from our day!

Omg we had a blast last night!! We have been waiting to go to this concert since we got the tickets in june!!! It was me, my mom, my sisters, my friends abby and casey and my friend caseys sister in law! It was a blast! We made shirts hehe to wear to the show! It was a sold out show!! I have never seen a place so full of women lol, the ages seemed to range from 21 to 40! I think my sisters were the youngest i saw there. And some people were dressed up 90's, 80's, like they were going to a nice club or bar, and then the ones that was wearing all there new kids shirts, buttons,etc..It was fun people watching! So we went downtown early and went to Dicks Last Resort which is what i think everyone did because it was soooo full of people going to the concert, so we ate and stuff there and then walked to american airlines center, natasha beddingfield opened and she was pretty good, then new kids came on and it was pure chaos lol, sooooo many screaming crazy women! Of course we were one of them! They played for a long time and sang all there wonderful songs, showed off there oh so nice bodies! Mmmmmm!!! Update on Zane

So Zane did wonderful with his surgery! He was up running around as soon as we got home, he did good waking up from the anesthesia, such a big boy! But a few days after his surgery he got sick with the croup so he has been battling both! He is starting to finally feel better and get back to his old self! Yeay!!! Here are a few pics of him after his surgery and at home recovering! Thanks everyone for thinking of him!! Starting next week on monday he can resume all activities yeay mommy was going crazy!!

Well today is my little guys surgery! Not worried so much about the circumcision part its the anesthesia part, as my side of the family has problems with it like having a hard time waking up and getting overly sick afterwards. So we will see how my little guy does! I will keep everyone posted!!

State Fair Experiance 2008

Whew!!! Was today an experiance!! So today my friends daughter was out for her fair day so i decided after zoe got out of school we would meet up with them, so i pick zoe up and we get out there about 2:30, we had a blast, we did the kids farm thing where they go around and do things on a farm and then earn rewards which is healthy snacks which of course my kids didn't want lol , zoe did try a granola bar and ate half of it cus it had chocolate chips in it so that was amazing! Then after that zoe fell asleep and we went and walked around and looked at all the cars which zane was amazed by! He loved touching them lol and of course mommy enjoyed picking out all the cars she wants! hehe, then while my friends daughter was doing the rock climbing wall me and zane enjoyed a wonderful belgian waffle with powdered sugar, whip cream and strawberries! Yummy and messy! lol Then we went and walked around more and looked at all the arts n crafts and people selling there stuff then zoe woke up so we went to the bird show and they loved it, i was surprised! Then my grandma met up with us because she works out there and gave the kids a bunch of tickets to ride rides so off we went and zoe rode lots of fun rides that are overly priced lol, zane was tall enough but i didn't want him riding without me so he just watched and ate cotton candy and was fine. Then finally it was time for the parade, zoe loved it, she thought all the girls on the floats were princesses hehe. Then my friend and her daughter left because hse is 9 months preggo and couldn't take it anymore, so me and the kids thought we would stay for hte fireworks/laser show, so we walk all the way over there and this is when the real fun begins! We are watching it, zoe isn't freaking out normally like she does at fireworks so i am like yay!! We can finally do 4th of july again! Then all of a sudden i notice all these cops in hellicopters flying around with spotlights on around the fair flashing around the midway area and so i am like crap thats where i am parked maybe we should go now, so we start heading that way to leave and i see all these gang unit police and police on horses running around everywhere so now i am like oh no how are we gonna leave, so we make it to an officer that wasn't busy and i asked if it was safe to go that way to my car and she said no for me to NOT take the kids that way and to walk all the way around the other side of the park to the entrance closer to the midway where i am parked, so fine me and the kids hike all the way around and we made it to the exit and we made it to the car , everything is still going on, so i run and get us in the car and leave the fair and am heading to my exit to get to highway and i pass it of course so i went up to do a u turn and then i see it, there are cops surrounding the jack n box and mcdonalds across from the fair and all these teenagers and kids are outside so lol i decided not to do a uturn and find another way, so we did and we are now home safe! LOL so moral of the story, if your alone leave before it gets dark lol! We had a blast though!! Will post pics soon!

Ice cream!!

So last night me and zoe went with my friend julia to baskin robbins for some yummy ice ceam and it was 1.00 scoop night! Cant beat that! lol She had a blast but let me tell ya she is very independant and it has to be her way. She choose her ice cream and then she was very adiment about having it in a cone, so i got her a cone, then she will only eat it with a spoon! LOL So while we were there she started playing with some other girls at another table and it was the first time in a long time i have seen her really interact with other kids like carrying on a conversation, I was so amazed! Her school is helping her so much! She amazes me everyday and lights up my day! I can't believe she is almost 3 1/2! We have her first school field trip next week to the pumpkin patch and i signed up to tag along! I think we are going to the state fair today with my mom when zoe gets out of school, i wanted to go yesterday but had a killer headache. Then this weekend nothing huge, think friday night me and my sisters are going to fright fest at six flags, then saturday i have a baby shower, sunday i am going to take the kids back to six flags and then next week on wednesday is zanes surgery :( Oh yea and most important like 3 weeks till the new kids on the block concert!!!!!!! Wooot!!!!

Well long story short zane has to get re circumcized. When we was born the ob didn't do it correctly and i noticed he didnt look like the other boys that were. So i asked the pediatrician and she said they didnt cut off enough skin but it looked fine at the time and it was more cosmetic or for religious beliefs if we wanted to re do it at the time, well we decided no he was fine and healthy, well now that hes gotten older almost 2 its bothering him, this is kinda gross but when it gets hard he screams in pain and its throbbing red, its like its trying to stretch and the skin it stuck together and it can't stretch anymore and its hurting him. So i took him to the pediatric urologist today and he said he is gonna have to get it re done. It will be a day surgery, surgery should only take an hour or so then we can take him home, he will be put under :( Thats the scary part for me! And then the pain he will be in afterwards, he said they will give him pain meds and it takes about 3-6 weeks to recover and he has to avoid any activities that he could hurt himself in so no bounce houses, trampolines, or rough housing or pretty much anything that would involve getting hit in the crotch lol. Poor guy! They are suppose to call me tomorrow to set a date for the surgery so i will update!

Fall Festivals

Oh we love this time of year! The weather isnt scorching hot but it itsnt cold, and all the outdoor fall festivals. Last Friday night me and my grandma, mom, and sister took Zane to the Plano Balloon Festival! He loved it! We got there just in time to watch the balloons launch and then we walked around and ate and waited until the sun set and watched them lite them up at night and that was amazing! Zane was in awe! We met up with some friends and there kids while we were out there too! Sorry no pics, my camera needs new batteries so i haven't taken any :(

Then Saturday my cousins came over and spent the night and watched the kids for me and jake and we went to addison oktoberfest with friends and that was alot of fun, it was very very crowded when we got there so we stayed for awhile and then ended up leaving and going out to eat somewhere and sitting out on the patio talking, lots of fun!

Next weekend we have the mckinney oktoberfest which me and my aunt are gonna go to so that should be fun!

We have lots of park playdates scheduled and zoe is doing wonderful in school but can you believe they give them homework every week and she is in preschool!!! But its not hard homework and its helping them learn so its worth it!

Wonderful Weather!

So this weather is wonderful thanks to the hurricane! Its cloudy, windy and a few sprinkles so far, so it didnt ruin our picnic this morning! After zoe went to school me and zane met up with all our friends at the park for a picnic and let the kids play and it was a blast! Zane loved running all around, giving me heart attacks lol, he is my sweet baby boy!

Fun week

So we have had a fun week! Zoe is doing wonderful in school and loves it! Me and zane have been having fun together while she is at school, monday we joined some friends at mcdonalds for lunch and zane just had a blast, then we did the same tuesday and wednesday we had a playdate at the house and it was a blast! Lots of boys so zane was having a good time sharing his toys! We even managed to get a group photo this time! Today we are about to head to the park for our morning walk before i take zoe to school and let them play at the playground for awhile then while zoe is in school i think i am gonna get some cleaning done and then tonight i am off for some sushi with the girls!! Tomorrow is pretty low key too while zoe is at school me and zane are gonna hit up the divine consign kids sale in plano and look for some new toys and furniture and then this weekend we have our playgroups big 1 year anniversary pool party so lets hope it doesnt rain, i cant believe i created my group a year ago and have made some amazing friends for me and the kids and i love everytime we get together and all the wonderful people and friends in my group! Well today was zoes first day of school, she went for a month in may then was out for summer , she started today at a new school, a much better school thats like 5 minutes from the house! Unfortunatly its not the school she will stay at when she starts kindergarten, that one is behind our house! woot! She goes monday thru friday from 10:45 to 1:15, today went good even against all her protests and her saying she wasn't going! We will see how tomorrow goes hehe.

Zane is getting so big, so fast, he is still small, is in the 25th percintle for everything, which to me is so funny cus zoe has always been huge and way above average so to me he is still so tiny lol. He still can wear 12 months clothes! He is very boyish and loves anything with wheels, he loves cars,trucks, trains. He also loves shoes lol that boy is obsessed. Enjoy!

She is 3, she is very independant, stubborn, smart and i think she is gonna have a talent in acting, that girl can immitate movies right down to the emotions lol, its hilarious, she loves to sing and dance along and she is very into the disney princesses right now. She starts school next week preschool and goes 5 days a week for almost 3 hours a day. She already started in may and then was out for summer and goes back! So excited! Here are some pics of zoe! Vacation

Well Jake has been on vacation all last week so its been nice and relaxing! We didn't do much but relax which was very needed. I feel refreshed now and ready to go! Here are some highlights of our week :

Went and saw the new mummy movie out, then after we saw it i realized we hadn't watched the others in a long time so we rented mummy 1 and me and jake and zane watched it, man that movie is old!!

We went to the Dallas World Aquarium and Museum of Science and Natural History and the kids had a blast! We spent all day friday out there, zane loved the large shark tank and the huge wall where you could watch the manatees and sea turtles. Zoe loved the bats in the black light and the sloths lol. Then they loved the children museum and could spend all day playing down there, think next year we are going to get memberships to both places so we can go anytime.

Then I got to spend the day shopping with my little girl and getting her school clothes and supples for her to start school ( preschool ) next week on the 25th, its alot of fun dressing her up, she is starting to get more girly but i learned she doesn't like shopping lol, just buy her stuff, try it on at home and then return it. Zane is my shopper, he loves shopping for shoes, clothes ,etc. So he is my new shopping buddy! We got some pretty good deals and sales!

Today i just have to go grocery shopping and then have a girls night at starbucks! lol So exciting!

This week we are gonna have alot of fun possiable before zoe starts her school, she will go monday thru friday for 2 1/2 hours a day 10:45 to 1:15, luckily this time its by the house and not clear across town so it will give me and zane more time to do things! I am excited for her, she says she is not going but she will , it will be a hard first week and then she will get into the routine, thats how zoe is. Hope everyone is doing well, leave me some love! I will post some new pics soon! Camera batteries are dead lol.

Well I finally did it! I took zoe to get her hair cut before school starts, she has never had the back of her hair cut and it was long down to her butt, but it would get so tangled and so long she couldn't wear it down it would get in her way but i hated to cut it because she had the precious curls!! But we did, i took her to the cutest girly salon for girls called sweet n sassy in frisco, she got about 3 inches cut off and it really makes a differance! Enjoy!!

Our 6 yr anniversary

Back in may we celebrated our 6 yr anniversary and went for the weekend to the gaylord texan resort in grapevine and it was soo nice and fun! When we got there they upgraded our room to a suite and it was sooo nice and relaxing, if you have never been here before you really need to go! So we spent time relaxing , walked around and ate everywhere, we went out to eat at this really nice italian resturant called ferraris in grapevine ( I didnt know you had to make reservations at all the resturants at the hotel like a week in advance ) and we strolled around some more and it was wonderful!!

So here are some photos from our summer pool fun! We have alot of moms in the playgroup that have pools and community pools so we have been swimming and have fun!! Its sad that it will be over soon and school will start but i can say this has been the best summer in along time!!

Zoe really loves the pool , they spent all day at my aunts in the pool, and she is so good in it as long as she has all her floaties!
This was the first time zane would get into a floatie, i bought him one and he refuses but at my aunts he wouldnt get out of it lol
This is my uncle gary in the pool with the kids, they kept calling him grandpa all day lol
Theres naked zane on uncle gary lol, by the end of the day i was so tired of putting diapers on him to get into pool and then get him out and 10 minutes later he was back in so i just let him run nude and get into pool naked and he loved it, except my cousin didn't want he decided to take a leak on his shoes lol! Gotta love boys!

Here are some new pics of me and the kids at my aunts for our family reunion barbaque. Jake didn't make it but me and the kids had a blast, the 2nd photo is my sister kara, mom, zane, me, sister leah and zoe! We had a fun week last week, had two family cookouts, six flags, went to movies to see mamma mia! What more could you ask for!!

Well its been awhile, we are doing good just being busy with playdates and enjoying summer! We had family visiting last week from california so we were busy with stuff! Now unwinding and staying inside beating this heat, I wanna try and get in some more fun stuff before school starts for zoe on august 25th! Jake is on vacation in 2 weeks so we got lots planned then! I am off to the dr for a check up but will post some new posts and pics soon!!

What is with all the sickness!!!!

So this morning we wake up and zane has to go to the dr for a shot they were out of last week and his re check on his ear and zoe wakes up sick, complaining her tummy hurts and just looking at her you can tell. So on the way to the dr they both fall asleep, i didnt want to wake zoe so my sister met us up there and sat with her in the car, zane still didn't get his shot cus there still out of it so he just got his re check, she is watching his right ear cus fluid isn't draining out of it, so we have to go back in 4 weeks and go from there and I have to make another trip next week to get his other shot! At this point i might as well wait until next month when he goes back. So then we get home and i am pulling up to the house and zoe spews everywhere!! So I got them inside, put her in shower, zane in crib watching baby einstein and i got it all cleaned up, then she throws up again but thats been the last time, she doesn't feel as hot anymore and we s Oh yea yesterday zoe went in for her hearing test and she passed everything, she did have some air in her left ear or something like that where her ear drum was pulled back but they said it was from congestion and come back in 3 months and re check but nothing to interfere with development delay or speech. So we have our ECI meeting next week and go from there with her speech. Thats it for now!

Well today was the big doodlebops show at nokia theater! The one i spend WAY too much money on for us to have seats right in front of the stage! We have been waiting patiently since last year when they went on sale in like october or something hehe. So of all days Zoe goes to bed late last night so hoping she would sleep late since the show started at 1:00, well she wakes up at 5:30 this morning and wouldn't go back to bed, so we left early hoping she would sleep in the car, we even took my van since it doesn't have the DVD players like daddys car, and no she stays awake, zane sleeps like a good boy, so we get there and we are waiting for the show to start and zoe is falling asleep!! So I sent jake to go get coke and all kinds of sugar products to keep her awake, the show starts and she freaks out because she is tired but after the first two songs she starts waking up and by the second half of the show she was standing and singing and dancing! We had a wonderful time, it was worth the money and the kids loved it, got some awesome pics but daddy is playing his game on the computer and will kill me if i start uploading them right now hehe so we will wait till monday when he goes back to work! But as soon as we left the show zoe conked out and slept till 6 this evening!! So her and daddy took a long nap and will be up late together cus mommy has a busy day of cleaning for superbowl party tomorrow!! Hope everyone enjoys there night!!

Welcome to the life of the Dotter family! I will post about our day to day affairs in here for everyone to read! I hope ya enjoy!! Here is a little about us for anyone who doesn't know us!

My hubby is Jake, he works hard for us so that i am able to stay at home!!

Next is me, Rachel, the insane mom of 2 crazy kids but love it and wouldn't have it any other way!!

Next is Zoe, she is 2 1/2 almost 3 in may , she is our princess, she lights up the room and is so affectionate and we love her so much!

Next up is mommys boy Zane who is almost 13 months! He is a mommas boy and loves doing whatever his sister is doing and climbing and running! He is our little angel!
